Here was born "And all Italy starts to sing", a journey to question our relationship to the country, an attempt to understand, through the “magnifying glass” of the poetry of the 20th century and traditional songs, the history close to Italy. Telling the story of the Italian people, from the First World War to today, through the words of poets little or not known in France to try to understand us, citizens of the world, emigrants in the land of
France! "The intimacy of song or its revolt, the lucid sincerity of the poets' words trace the landscape of a European nation there, right on the border, so close and so far away. Italy adored in its past, but also the Italy little known in its present time. A useful, human spectacle that sometimes sheds light on our own present as French, Italians and Europeans. A spectacle to discover an Italy far from clichés with its dreams and contradictions, a real approach to Italian culture.
