  • The Paul Eluard Museum of Art and History in Saint-Denis has the honor to welcome in residence Boris Hurtel.

Author of graphic novels ("Prisoner of the Amazons", "Neurotic Tales") and director of the independent comic strip magazine, "Urban Drift", he is passionate about surrealism, which leads him to take an interest in the Paul fund Eluard.

He discovered unsuspected links between different collections of the museum, Francis Jourdain, the Paris Commune, and his latest book, "The future is elsewhere" (The Hoochie-Coochie, 2019). Commitment, freedom, violence and utopia make this graphic polar a work as political as it is fantastic and poetic.

The universe and the creative process of Boris Hurtel are to be discovered in the exhibitions devoted to him at the museum where the artist exhibits part of his preparatory work for L'Avenir is elsewhere: sketches, planks in Indian ink and Scenario notes, and the Center-Ville media library from October 5 to January 11.
