In a small village in the hinterland of Nice where everyone knows each other, young people are increasingly being found passed out in the street in the middle of the day with empty needles stuck in their arms. It was the beginning of the 1980s and AIDS, a virus that was still unknown, was beginning to wreak havoc.
Forty years later, Anthony Passeron decides to investigate these "sleeping children", including his uncle Désiré, a heroin addict who died of AIDS in 1987.
