Half of the staff of the Seine-Saint-Denis Department's Archaeological Heritage Office, which implements the policy of studying, preserving and promoting the archaeological remains of Seine-Saint-Denis, are women.

They are involved in everything from excavations to the dissemination of knowledge, not forgetting administrative matters, and so contribute to the creation of knowledge. To mark the Journées du matrimoine, their portraits, taken by the office photographer Emmanuelle Jacquot, will be displayed on the railings of the departmental archaeology centre!
