On ne va pas se défiler ! is a major dance parade imagined by the La Beauté du geste collective which brings together eight locations in Seine Saint-Denis. These public places for the creation and dissemination of live shows together wanted to give their full place to the youth and residents of 93 within the framework of the Cultural Olympiad and the events organized around the Olympic and Paralympic Games of Paris 2024.

For its part of the parade, La Commune chose Monika Gintersdorfer and Franck Edmond Yao / Gadoukou La Star, accompanied by six renowned dancers. Their choreography is inspired by sports movements and coupé-décalé, a music and dance style that vibrates the nights of Ivory Coast, West Africa and Europe.
One workshop per month will be offered between January and June 2024 to explore Afro dance and, gradually, learn the choreography. The first meetings will take place on Saturday January 13 and Sunday January 14, 2024. General rehearsals with all the participants will be held between May and June 2024.
