Dance - Memento

With this fourth creation, the MazelFreten company is returning to their original aesthetic: a blend of hip hop and electro dance. The idea for this show was born during the Covid-19 pandemic, as a reaffirmation of the practice of dance as a means of resistance in times of crisis, of resilience. It was also a way of putting back at the centre of their bodily expressions what makes them strong, what represents their values and satisfying their desire to make their mark. MEMENTO is also a way for the company's two dancer-choreographers, Laura Defretin and Brandon Masele, to draw on the world's different cultures by bringing six dancers from different backgrounds (from Japan to Russia, via Portugal, Gabon and France) to the stage. Students from the city's Conservatoire will open the first part of the evening.
