Concert - Jahman X-Press

Between urban afro and mbalax, the artist Jahman X-Press makes his mark, shaking up the codes of Senegalese hip-hop. On this project, he mixes new song influence and rhythmic sensibilities of blues and afrobeat legends: Fela Kuti, Omar Pene, Ali Farka Touré and Alpha Blondy. Inspired by the words and sounds of urban music, the artist shapes African pop driven by melodies that are sometimes poetic and sometimes jerky. Known as one of the most prominent Senegalese artists on streaming platforms, Jahman X-Press explores the meanders of the international scene with this project.
