Concert - Blick Bassy

Blick Bassy's music is as diverse as it is dense, at the confluence of a number of vital sources, navigating between Africa and the West. A fan of sounds that blend indie pop and Afro-soul, the highly talented singer-songwriter from Cameroon has released a new opus: Mádibá. After celebrating a glorious herald of Cameroonian independence (killed by the French army in 1958), in his militant and moving album, 1958, Blick Bassy is now tackling the theme of the environment, in particular the burning issue of water.
An inventive and sensitive storyteller, Blick Bassy sings mainly in the Bassa language, with a deep, delicately raspy voice. His melodies are sumptuous, with brass, keyboards and strings in minimal, organic compositions.
