  • A neologism created by espace fine, the term CIRCADES refers to the circadian rhythm, a biological rhythm that repeats itself from day to day and governs the natural functioning of living organisms.

A neologism created by espace fine, the term CIRCADES refers to the circadian rhythm, a biological rhythm that repeats itself from day to day and governs the natural functioning of living organisms.

Inspired by this notion of cyclical and repetitive time, the exhibition presents a selection of works that are part of slower temporalities, outside the imperatives of productivity, unbridled consumption and short-termism that characterise our societal framework.

The artists chosen are interested in the notions of ritual, transmission and daily life, in natural phenomena and the vital cycles of matter, as well as in the slow and complex time of history.

Their works honour more sustainable modes of consumption and production; they evoke the suspended times of everyday life, or the long times of organic life; they mobilise instances irremediably marginalised in our society: idleness, waste and dreaming.

Finally, they strongly encourage participation and activation on the part of visitors, inviting you to take your time, to experience other temporalities of visits.

With : Amélie Bernard, Louise-Margot Décombas, Ymane Fakhir, Park Chae Biole, Macha Pangilinan, Celine Pelcé, Lucie Planty, Araks Sahakyan, Taylor Smith and Studio Oleomingus.
