The children of the Zawose family find themselves united around the same music and the memory of their father, Hukwe Ubi Zawose, the great missionary of Wagogo music in Tanzania! Discover their new creation on stage!
The Zawose Reunion resonates throughout the world the extraordinary singularity of Wagogo music, an assembly, as learned as it is impromptu, of songs, polyrhythms and dances. The xylophone (mkwajungoma), the chilimba (thumb piano), the percussion (n'goma), without forgetting the distant cousin of the violin, the izeze, a two-stringed fiddle, accompany the songs which overlap and mingle, sometimes in canon or in ostinatos.
