  • Discover the skeleton of a medieval house …

    The Factory of the city: a strange story house. The building is a witness of the buildings from the fifteenth to the twentieth century.
    The scaffold allow the public to get into this "house skeleton" scale in order to understand the techniques and develop the skills of the building trades. It is intended to present the city of Saint-Denis in terms of archeology, architecture and urbanism.

    After seven campaigns, the planned excavation of the City Factory ends this year!
    Since 2009, you have been able to follow and even participate in the progress of the site with the archaeologists of the Archeology Unit of the city of Saint-Denis. The boundaries of the city of the year one thousand are now discovered and their excavation ends in the next weeks. Accompany these latest searches on the site!

    Free access from Sunday 7 May to Thursday 13 July 2017:
    - during the week, from Tuesday to Friday from 10 am to 12 am and from 1:30 pm to 4 pm. A mediator is available for visits and explanations on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons.
    - on weekends, free access on the first Sunday of the month, on 7 May, 4 June and 2 July between 15h and 18h, and on the occasion of "Festoch 'in the garden" on Saturday 27th May and National Archeology on the 17th and 18th of June from 14h30 to 18h.

    On this occasion, the scaffolding house will be open on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm, in addition to the usual openings and guided tours (Wednesday 15:30 on reservation, 1st Sunday of the month and events).

    Closing in case of rain and public holidays.
