Festival de Saint-Denis - Bach – Cantates

Cultural ,  Festival ,  Concert at Saint-Denis

FSD17 / Christophe Fillieule
  • This classical music festival has got international fame by inviting the world's greatest talents for 50 years!

Sir John Eliot Gardiner is one of the most important personalities in today's musical world; he regularly conducts major orchestras throughout Europe while continuing his singular work at the head of the formations he has created.

A major figure in the history of the Festival, he directed, at the head of the Orchester National de France, Berlioz, Messiaen and Duruflé. In another register, one also remembers the exceptional Vespers of Monteverdi given last year.

With this return to Bach, he reminds us that with his choir - the Monteverdi Choir, one of the best in the world - and his English Baroque Soloists, he remains unmatched in this repertoire.
