  • Traditional pieces, propaganda posters, collectible figurines, this exhibition plays the confrontation of times, styles and cultures.

    Special attention is given to the contemporary artist Kato Teruhide (1936-2015). A renowned kimono designer, he decided, at the age of 50, to devote himself to the art of Japanese printmaking and his talent was recognized very quickly. He exhibited in 1991 at the Cat Iron Gallery in New York and in parallel publishes a book of inspirations illustrated by his works "Kyoto Romance".
    Its publisher Unsodo, is one of the last major woodcut prints publishers in Japan. His very particular style mixes tradition and contemporary Japanese design.

    Around the exhibition:
    - screening of a documentary provided by the Adachi Foundation for the Preservation of Japanese Printmaking;
    - Guided tours: For lovers of historical anecdotes, the antique dealer and expert CEFA Rozalia Remy (stands 73 and 29) will organize guided tours of the exhibition on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th November at 11am.
