Autour du pied d'Henri II, d'Ecouen à Saint-Denis

Cultural ,  Exhibition at Saint-Denis
Office de Tourisme de Plaine Commune Grand Paris
  • The cathedral basilica hosts the original right foot of King Henry II.

A single recumbent resting in the basilica of Saint-Denis cathedral today has both feet amputated and remade: those of King Henry II. The dimensions and "structure" of the right foot preserved in the National Museum of the Renaissance reinforce the hypothesis that it would be the original foot of the king.
